Masc Certifications

MASC Certifications has obtained SANAS accreditation in December 2009. MASC is accredited by the recognized International Standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005. The accreditation demonstrates technical competency for a wide scope of standards and the operation of a laboratory quality management system (*). MASC operates the first private sector SANAS accredited MASC Certifications Body (C83 accreditation) in Sub-Saharan Africa (C83 Schedule of Accreditation).

  • Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) – Testing
  • Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) – Mark scheme Provider
  • Department of Labour (DOL) – Approved Inspection authority
IECEX

MASC has obtained IECEx accreditation following the Scheme Rules:

  • IECEx 02 (Equipment Scheme) an Ex Certification Body (ExCB) and Ex Test Laboratory (ExTL) – August 2014.    
  • IECEx 03 (Service Facilities Scheme); as an Ex Certification Body (ExCB) – August 2017.

SAFA (South African Flameproof Association) is the acknowledged Hazardous Location / Explosion Protected equipment association in South Africa. MASC is a member of SAFA.
